SAN JOSE CALIF. – Here is a collection of well-known Bay Area artists, including graduates of Silver Creek High School!

• Peach Tree Rascals is a band that consists of Silver Creek graduates from the class of 2015. Dominic Pizano; Issac Pech; Tarrek Abdel-Khaliq; Joseph Barros; Jorge Olazaba. The band originates from San Jose, California. They are best known for their song Mariposa that went trending on TikTok. They have received critical acclaim from Billboard and MTV.

• Saweetie was born in Santa Clara, California. She is an American rapper. Best known for her debut single ¨Icy girl¨ released in 2018, ¨Best Friend” featuring Doja Cat in 2021, and ¨Back to the Streets in 2020.

• Rosanna DeSoto was born in San Jose, California. She is an American actress. Best known for her roles in films and television such as La Bamba and Stand and Deliver.

• Kate Walsh was born in San Jose, California. She is an American actress and is best known for her roles as Dr. Addison Montgomery in ABC drama series Grey’s Anatomy.

• Mac Dre was born in Oakland, California. He was a highly influential Bay area rapper from Vallejo, California. He was a key player in the early 2000s cultural phenomenon known as “hyphy,” which evolved in the Bay Area hip hop culture.

• G Eazy, was born in Oakland, California. He is an American rapper. Best known for his features in ¨Him & I¨ and ¨Me, Myself & I¨. His first major label album, These Things Happen peaked at number 3 on the US Billboard 100 in 2014.

• Zendaya was born in Oakland, California. She is an American actress and singer. Best known for her roles on Disney Channel, Shake it Off and K.C. Undercover. She is best known in movies and shows, such as The Greatest Showman and Euphoria. Zendeya has won 2 Emmy awards. 

• Vanessa Hudgens was born in Salinas, California. She is an American actress and singer. Best known for her role Gabriela Montez in Highschool Musical.

• Darren Criss was born in San Francisco, California. He is an American actor, singer, and songwriter. He first gained notoriety as a Glee cast member and won both a Golden Globe and an Emmy for his portrayal of spree killer Andrew Cunanan in The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story.

• E-40 was born in Vallejo, California. He is an American rapper. In addition to starting Sick Wid It Records, he was a founding member of the rap group The Click.

• Kehlani was born in Oakland, California. She is an American singer, songwriter and dancer. Best known for her song ¨Nights Like This¨ and her album ¨It Was Good Until It….¨

• H.E.R was born in Vallejo, California. She is an R&B singer and songwriter. She is best known for her songs such as Slide, Best Part, and Could’ve Been. 

• Alicia Sliverstone was born in San Francisco, California. She is an actor, best known for her role as Cher in Clueless.

• Bruce Lee was born in San Francisco, California. He was a Hong Kong and American martial artist, filmmaker,instructor, and actor. Best known for his roles in movies like ¨Enter the Dragon¨ and ¨Game of the Death.¨

• Kamala Harris was born in Oakland, California. She is the 49th vice president of the United States and an American lawyer and politician. She is also the first African American and first Asian American vice president female official in American history.

• Mc Hammer was born in Oakland, California. He is a rapper, dancer, and record producer. He is well-known for his catchy tunes like “U Can’t Touch This,” “2 Legit 2 Quit,” and “Pumps and a Bump,” as well as his lavish choreography, flashy dance moves, and his signature flamboyant Hammer pants.
