SAN JOSE, CALIF — Harry Styles and Olivia Wilde break up after nearly 2 years together, claiming that they both lead completely different lives.

Styles is a well-known British singer, songwriter, and actor and was a One Direction member before the group broke up in 2016. He is a fast-rising song artist and singer with some of his current songs on the radio. One of his notable songs on the 99.7 Now radio is ‘As It Was’.

Olivia Jane Cockburn, known professionally as Olivia Wilde, is an American actress that is known for her television roles. She played the role of Alex Kelly in The O.C. and Dr. Remy “Thirteen” Hadley in a medical drama television series, House. Wilde has two kids named Otis and Daisy. Otis is 8-years-old and Daisy is 5-years-old. Wilde’s kids were from a separate relationship, long before she had met Styles. She was engaged to Jason Sudeikis, her then-fiance, until she met Styles in their film “Don’t Worry Darling”.

Styles and Wilde met on the set of their film “Don’t Worry Darling” in September 2020 and officially became a couple in January 2021. 

Wilde’s relationship with Sudeikis was already rocky and was only with him to help co-parent their kids. Wilde had ended the relationship with Sudeikis at the beginning of the pandemic, however, many had believed Wilde cheated on him. Wilde dissolved all the false accusations of her cheating on Sudeikis with Styles and ensured all their fans knew that she and Styles were now together.

Until recently, many Wilde and Styles’ fans thought their relationship was doing good.

In November, out of nowhere, the couple decided to split, leaving many of their fans wondering what happened to make their relationship split after two strong years.

Apparently, the couple had been dealing with some issues.

The major issue that Styles and Wilde were dealing with was how they had separate lives. Styles is touring around the world, while Wilde is focusing on her kids and work in Los Angeles. Both Wilde and Styles have different priorities that keep them apart from each other, making their relationship difficult to maintain.

From the views of many, they believe that Styles’ and Wilde’s relationship had ended on good terms with there being no bad blood between them as they broke up.

Ethan Nguyen, a freshman that is a fan of Styles, says, “It is quite sad that Harry Styles and Olivia Wilde have ended their 2-year relationship. But, as long as they are well and doing okay then we should respect their decision.”
