Brook Navarro Shaping Silver Creek’s Journalism Issue

By Madeline Aristorenas

SAN JOSE, CALIF.—Brook Navarro is a junior at Silver Creek high school as the Raider Review’s editor-in-chief. After enjoying her yearbook class, she enrolled in journalism at Silver Creek and sharpened her skills through her experience in the Mosaic journalism program—skills that helped her step up when asked to be assistant editor-in-chief for the following year. Navarro thrived in an environment with professional journalists and friendly peers, inspiring her to create goals for the year. She’s striving to balance her studies and personal life, expand her social circle, create magazines for the whole school to enjoy and ensure the class has a fun time making it.
