With winter break approaching, Silver Creek High School students are looking to make the most of their time off.
An extremely popular event is the annual Christmas in the Park at Plaza de Cesar Chavez. This downtown tradition transforms the park into a winter wonderland with animated displays, decorated trees and food. It’s open everyday throughout winter break, and admission is free which is perfect for students on a budget. This event runs from noon to 10 p.m.
If you’re looking for something more active, head to Downtown Ice, San Jose’s outdoor ice skating rink. Skating with friends is a classic way to enjoy the chilly weather and get into the holiday spirit. The rink is open from noon to 11:30 p.m. Make sure to arrive there early so you can have the best chance to enjoy the ice with fewer crowds.
For those who love holiday lights, a drive through Fantasy of Lights at Vasona Lake County Park is a must. The drive around the park takes about 10 to 15 minutes, offering plenty of time to enjoy the scenery.
These local events offer a great way to celebrate the season, make lasting memories and connect with the Silver Creek community. Get out and enjoy the holiday magic in San Jose!
