SAN JOSE, CALIF— Silver Creek High School’s new turf area, located near the boys locker room benefits students, athletes and the P.E department.
Most of the students play soccer on the new turf during lunch and it is also used for after school activities like flag football, volleyball, and badminton .
The turf was installed to replace the eight portable buildings and provide more space for the athletes during P.E. Student Athlete Isaac Yap says, “The turf now compared to last year there is a big change on how it feels when you run.”
The new turf area at Silver Creek High School was installed summer of last year. Installing it was a big improvement for the school’s after school programs and provided space for PE. The new turf area provides a consistent and a better feeling surface for student athletes and PE teachers.
