SAN JOSE, CALIF- Class of 2028 officers talk about upcoming events for this year, such as fundraisers, Non-fire, and many more events that they have planned to give students something to look forward to. 

Spirit Leader Kha Nguyen, Secretary Serene Vuong, President Katia Tran, Vice President Diana Nguyen, and Treasurer Larry (Deon) Meas are all excited for this year and the exciting events they have to offer for the class of 2028. 

Vice President Nguyen says, “Pain is passion and passion is power.” President Tran also added, she is always ready to take on a challenge and it shows that she wants to be a part of something, be an important person and help out the class. The main goal for the Class of 2028 is to bring joy and happiness to their class as well as to positively represent their class. One idea for a fundraiser that Secretary Voung mentioned is matcha drinks, and the reason for that is to support their class of 2028, including the whole school and after-school. Since they know there are a lot of people who stay back after school, they want to provide them with food and drinks. 

Treasurer Meas said that they’re trying to do more fundraisers to raise money so they won’t have to struggle to provide the class with an exciting, fun, and memorable senior prom. Vice President Nguyen added that these fundraisers are necessary for their props for Non-Fire. Treasurer Meas stated, “Compared to last year since it was our first event, I hope you guys are expecting something more exciting and more from 2028”.

They all have a goal in common, which is to support each other more, since they now have more experience to allocate resources efficiently for events and fundraisers. While events can be chaotic, Secretary Vuong wants to keep everything held together and well organized for and during events. She’s making sure everything is organized between everyone, and the board is completing their part to host these events. These five officers are excited for this year and have a lot in store for their class. They are ready to create a positive impact and make this school year as fun as possible.
