SAN JOSE, CALIF. – Rodriguez’s business is gaining popularity at Silver Creek High School leading to a successful business in the making.

Rodriguez, a senior at Silver Creek High School, who gained an idea from his sister Luciana Rodriguez and his mother Mariah Rodriguez who had pushed the idea to start a business selling brownies that has seen success by usually selling out to returning customers who have enjoyed his product at Silver Creek High School. Rodriguez’s business started with two flavors with the red velvet being less prioritized until his friend who had suggested innovating by promoting the red velvet flavor which helped his business gain more traction. Rodriguez said “I started with two flavors but it was mainly because Dylan V Ngyuen asked if I had another flavor like the red velvet so that’s how that came about.”

Rodriguez, who puts his time and effort into contributing to the business by being consistent with his product, and analyzing how his brownies are created from when it is created from scratch to inspecting the way his brownies bake. Additionally, Rodriguez promoted his business to his friends, who were automatically hooked once they purchased and ate a brownie, and became loyal local customers to Rodriguez, who he informs beforehand, he is bringing brownies to school causing numerous people to gather around to see the commotion but realize it is his flavorful brownies. This convinces others around to purchase a brownie to see what the deal is about. Rodriguez promotes his business by having his loyal customers bring their friends along with them, and sometimes people around the school campus walk up and purchase his brownies as they see their classmates purchasing and eating his product with strong emotions.

Rodriguez visits events in order to promote his business to local areas around San Jose, CALIF. Rodriguez who has visited Yerba Buena High School and Silver Creek High School free market. Additionally gained a contract with an adult flag football league who they sell to when they are in season.

Rodriguez does not have a long term future goal for his business. Rodriguez, when asked what his plan for his business, said “I do not expect to make them after high school, as I do not have it in my goals for the future goals.” Rodriguez who did not plan for his business to gain much traction at Silver Creek High School as it started to just make quick change to a business that he will continue to pursue till he graduates from Silver Creek High School.
