What SC Freshmen Did Over the Winter Break

SAN JOSE, CALIF. — After being back from the Winter Break for around a week and a half, students recap on their different activities over the break—from some staying home, going out with friends, or going on a vacation to Boreal.

“For winter break, I went snowboarding in Boreal, and it was so fun going with my family there for the first time,” Ethan Le said. The freshman was the only one out of the four people interviewed who went on vacation with his family.

Another freshman here at Silver Creek High also enjoyed time with his family.  “For the break, I went out to the Oakland Zoo with my family and had such a good time with them and as well had practice for track,” Brandyn Ngo said.

Ngo had a great time at Oakland Zoo because it’s not something you go to everyday, so it was a fun day trip that brought him closer to his family, and it is nice to do an activity with your family besides just staying home with them. Even though it was break, Ngo still went to school for practice, but going to school on break is common, as there are a lot of sports that are currently active right now for Silver Creek.

Angelo Allado, a freshman as well, did not go out with his family, nor sleep in, but instead said, “For the break, I went out with my friends a lot to go eat.”

On the other hand, freshman Jaden Hernandez had a more calm and restful break., “ I just stayed home, played video games and slept all day,” the opposite from Allado, Le and Ngo’s outings. Though not as fun and exciting, it would probably be one of the most common answers if all of Silver Creek students were asked, as you get to relax for a whole week and take your mind off of school.
