SAN JOSE, CALIF. — With Valentine’s Day coming up this February, what do Raiders think are the best Valentine’s Day gifts?

Valentine’s Day is a holiday celebrated on Feb. 14 where people express their feelings for one another through gifts. There are many gifts that you can give somebody for Valentine’s Day. The main gifts that they expect to receive for Valentine’s day are flowers and chocolates, but let’s see what Raiders want their lovers to give them for this special day.

“I think flowers, chocolate, a card or a stuffed animal are the best Valentine’s Day gifts,” states Kayla Lam, a Silver Creek High senior. Gifts like these, especially a card, can really express how much you love someone. Cards tend to express more sentimental value as in the cards, they can see their emotions for how they feel for them and the thought of them making the card makes it more meaningful.

Do all Raiders want the same gifts as Lam? “I really want a stuffed animal and clothes for Valentine’s Day,” says Patrick Tran, a senior at Silver Creek High School. Tran thinks stuffed animals and clothes are the best gifts for Valentine’s Day because he really wants clothes and stuffed animals.

Two other seniors at Silver Creek have responded with exact opposite sides of expectations for Valentine’s Day: 

With Loraine Bioc, hoping for a more traditional approach, she says, “I would really like chocolate and roses for Valentine’s Day.” While the other, Vina Le, said, “I want a proposal for Valentine’s Day.” Le says “Because surprises are nice and getting a ring is even nicer.”

Notably it’s common to see that Raiders seem to want flowers and chocolate the most during this holiday of love.

Going into a more broad gift map, here’s  some Valentine’s Day gifts that you guys could get for your lover! 

1. You could get them personalized gifts like customized jewelry, a photo map, and an engraved keychain. 
2. Taking them out is also a great way to express your love on this special day. 
3. You could take them to a romantic dinner, to a concert they love, or maybe even a weekend getaway. 
4. You could also make them something special for Valentine’s Day, like a card or maybe even paper flowers for them. 
5. You could always get them flowers, chocolates, and candy as that is the go-to for Valentine’s day. Get your lover a gift so it shows that you really care.
