SAN JOSE, CALIF.—Costco Wholesale has a lot of different food options in the cafeteria, but which scores the highest on a Silver Creek High School student’s scale? Let’s see what we think.
When visiting Costco, we decided to try five different food options from their cafeteria menu. That included a slice of cheese pizza, chocolate chip cookie, hotdog, chicken bake and a chocolate and vanilla swirl sundae.
The pizza scored a 6/10 on the scale. Although it was a big slice, it wasn’t the best tasting. It was really good pricing though, for $1.99. The slice was bigger than the average human head.
The cookie was really good and scored a 9/10. It had a crispy outside, but gooey inside. It cost $2.49, which is a lot compared to the price and portion of the other foods. A good combo to try is eating the cookie with some of the ice cream. Making a cookie sandwich is also an option.
The chicken bake surprised us with the quantity given. It was only $3.99 for a very large amount. The chicken bake scored a 7/10.
A cup filled with chocolate and vanilla swirl sundae didn’t disappoint. With it only being $1.99, we got a great amount of product. Not being the biggest ice cream fans, we still rated this an 8/10 because of its simple yet tasty flavors.
The hot dog was pretty good but it gave me (Galeon) food poisoning, and I couldn’t attend school the next Monday. It would’ve scored a 6/10, but we think after the incident it deserves a 2/10. It gets one point for portion size and one point for affordability.
