A Teasociety and Happy Lemon Review

SAN JOSE, CALIF.—For when students at Silver Creek High School are hungry after school, Tea Society and Happy Lemon is the best and most convenient spot to go.

Staying for almost 7 hours or more at school, students get hungry! So many would want to stop for food after school and just an 8 minute walk away, within the plaza where Q Pot Korean BBQ & Hot Pot resides, is Teasociety..

They have a wide variety of food and tea to enjoy. Even though this is a milk tea place, they sell plenty of snacks and drinks where people could both enjoy food and tea at the same time. 

When people eat they might want a drink to go with it to wash down the food. The drink that I recommended to get for newcomers would be the hazelnut milk tea with boba because it has a perfect balance of rich nutty flavor of hazelnut that is the perfect amount of sweetness. If you’re hungry you could grab a shredded pork baguette, or if you’re  only looking for a light snack, some fries. 

Their fries are cooked crispy and thick, with many different options such as curly, parmesan fries, or their house special. On Fridays, fries are 50% off, a great price for the food. If one prefers sweets rather than savory snacks, they also offer pandan and blueberry waffles. Teasociety has something for everyone, making it a great choice for after school treats.

“I love Teasociety, me and my friends always love it and we always have to get it every time we hangout. I suggest giving it a try, you won’t regret it,” said Mary Ngo, a freshman at Silver Creek.

Another option that is highly recommended is called Happy Lemon. It’s most famous for their delicious milk tea and waffles. Their mango matcha is very good, it is the best drink when it comes to where it has a mix of matcha (a drink typically bitter) but here it’s kind of sweet because of the  mango to balance it out. However, if you don’t prefer matcha or mango there’s plenty of other drinks options to choose from. With the  food, they compliment their beverages like their chocolate Vanilla waffles or their fries. 

These two are the most highly loved places on my list that I absolutely recommend you try.
