Alena Ngo’s Makers Club Experience

SAN JOSE, CALIF.— Alena Ngo, the Maker Club secretary, plays a vital role in promoting Makers Club through her dedication and artistic participation.

Makers club is where members can be creative without any limit. It’s a place where ideas come to life. Anyone could be creative all they want and try out new things they haven’t considered before. This club is essentially a place for everyone to try out new hobbies, without having to invest a lot of money and research to find the right machines and tools.

Ngo wanted to run for secretary because she wanted to see the Makers Club thrive and to do so she thought of applying for a higher position as an officer to make that possible. Although, thinking back she didn’t want to assume a leader role so she started debating on what other roles she wanted to apply for. She liked the idea of secretary because all the other roles include math or social media and she doesn’t really like either so in the end, secretary was the best choice for her.

Ngo’s job as secretary is mainly tracking attendance and to create a Google Form for members to fill out and to help organize the club attendance sheet.

According to Ngo, the only difficult part was figuring out the technicalities of Google Forms, like figuring out how to make it and how to streamline her work, but after that it was easy to work with. She really enjoys her job as secretary because she feels happy being apart of a community where everyone has the same interest.

Makers Club allows creativity to thrive since it’s a fun place to construct trinkets and artworks.

“Join Makers Club if you’re interested in making stickers, resin charms, key chains, paper crafts, buttons and more! Or just stop by for lunch if you’d like to hangout and explore your creative side.” said Ngo
