SAN JOSE, CALIF.—Choir teacher Simone Horne, announces Carol-Grams will return for Christmas at Silver Creek.
As the Christmas season is about to start, Silver Creek High School embraces the holiday spirit with Carol-Grams tradition. This festive event sees students coming together to spread joy through song, visiting classrooms to perform classic holiday tunes. Many people buy Carol-Grams for the holiday spirit and it is also a once a year opportunity to try and have some fun.
Carol-Grams at Silver Creek are when a group of choir students, led by Horne, learns songs and sings to students when purchased.
Carol-Grams are available for purchase now, students can first buy them for $5 each and then write their name and choose the song. After classes start on Dec. 13, the choir students go into the classrooms to sing a carol.
Carol-Grams bring people together and it is for everyone. It has also been a highlight of the festive holiday at Silver Creek for years and sharing holiday cheer through classic songs. “I really look forward to Carol-Grams this year and I love that Silver Creek are doing these events I want to buy and support the school,” said Zoe Tran, Class of 2028. During Christmas 2023, they managed to sell a total of 30 Carol-Grams and learned five songs.
Helping out and purchasing Carol-Grams supports various school activities and programs for Silver Creek. This proceeds often go towards funding school events, clubs and many more. In the end, it is worthwhile because it helps the school and brings people’s spirits together.
