Most people would rather go home than play sports since it’s so tiring,but they forget how rewarding sports can feel. Other than that, they also help you physically and mentally alongside many other beneficial factors.
Playing sports won’t only make you physically better but also make you feel better”.” Benefits include not always feeling tired which makes PE a lot easier of a class. You never know if you will do really well in a sport and it ends up being your career in the future. Playing sports in general is fun for most people which improves your mental health along with your physical health as well. Also, it builds friendships with your fellow peers that also play on the same team which leads to more friends to hang out with inside and outside of school. What people may not know is that sports have benefits that you may not know about such as improving cardiovascular health, improves coordination, strengthens muscles and bones, improves mental health, reduces obesity risk, and helps improve a better sleep. Being fit in life improves your health and reduces your risk of death by about 20%-35% lower compared to someone who is inactive and an unfit person.
Many people don’t want to play sports for the fear of being body-shamed but there are many fit people who used to be overweight or underweight and usually your teammates support you instead of bringing you down and you would be surprised by people who are struggling with the same problems on your team. A freshman Jaden Martinez was someone who was overweight but sports worked it out for him he said “When COVID hit I gained a lot of weight but then I started playing soccer to get back in shape which was the best decision I could have made”
