SAN JOSE CALIF. – Jorge Delaras is on the journey to improving his skill in soccer, through all his hard work he hopes to someday be on a professional level.

Jorge Delara started playing soccer when he was 4 years old. His dad got him into liking soccer. His dad used to play in friendly soccer games for fun. Delara went to go watch him play. His sister saw that he enjoyed watching his dad play. So his sister put him into a soccer team. 

The name of the first team he went to was Mustangs. He was on that team for 5 years. He left that team because the team was falling apart. The players were going to different teams. So Jorge decided to leave the team.

 After that he joined bay area surf mls next. He liked the team but after 2 years he decided to leave. The reason he decided to leave was because it cost too much money to stay on that team. 

So he went to a team that was cheaper. “I was spending more than 8k in 5 months.” – Jorge Delara  

He joined a team called San Jose Rush NPL 2010 boys. Currently he plays for San Jose Rush and enjoys playing there. Delara has made many friends in that team. Now he wakes up at 7 in the morning and he works out everyday and trains.  Delara trains for 3 hours with weights. Not just with weights but also with a soccer ball. Delara juggles the ball for about a couple minutes. Delara does sprints to get faster. Delara runs 100m sprints 5 times to get faster. Delara eats very healthy vegetables and fruits. Delara drinks a lot of water a day, about 2 liters a day of water. Delara also eats healthy meals a day. Some meals Delara eats are chicken with rice, salads, and scrambled eggs. Delara also likes not very healthy stuff like chips, candy, and cookies. Delara tries to balance what he eats.   

Delara also plays futsal everyday and futsal is a sport like soccer but it’s faster and it’s 5v5 and it’s a small court and he is doing this all day because he wants to join a better team to go pro.
