SAN JOSE, CALIF—With Halloween around the corner, Silver Creek students excitedly share their favorite top 5 series to watch during this spooky season.
After searching on the internet the top 10 Halloween shows are:
- American Horror Story-An anthology horror series with a different spooky theme each season.
- The Simpsons’ Treehouse of Horror- A yearly collection of episodes of the animated sitcom The Simpsons with a Halloween theme.
- My Babysitter’s a Vampire- a series that follows a group of teens who find out that their babysitter is a vampire.
- Scooby-Doo, Where Are You- The series follows the adventures of teenagers and their dog friend, Scooby-Doo. They come across and resolve mysteries while traveling in a van called The Mystery Machine.
- Ghost Adventures – A paranormal investigator leads his group of co-investigators at haunted sites in America and abroad.
- Gravity Falls- an animated mystery show that follows twins while they spend their summer with their great-uncle in the town of Gravity Falls
- Buffy the Vampire Slayer- Buffy is a Slayer, one of many young women selected for the special task of tracking out and eliminating vampires.
- The Haunting of Hill House- focuses on siblings who grew up in what would eventually become the nation’s most well-known haunted house.
- Over the Garden Wall- Brothers Wirt and Greg go on an excursion and become lost in the Unknown, a weird forest lost in time. They try to figure out how to get out of the Unknown.
- Stranger Things.-. It is a horror series with supernatural elements with 5 teenage kids taking place in the 80s
The top 5 shows by students of Silver Creek High School are “Gravity Falls” at fifth – an animated mystery show that follows twins while they spend their summer with their great uncle in the town of Gravity Falls
“Ghost Adventures” at fourth – A reality series where paranormal investigators explore haunted locations.,
“My Babysitters a Vampire” at third – a series that follows a group of teens who find out that their babysitter is a vampire.
“American Horror Story” at second – An anthology horror series with a different spooky theme each season
“Stranger Things” is taking first place. A horror series with supernatural elements that are perfect for Halloween binge-watching, after sending out a Google form asking the question “Which of these 10 shows do you prefer to watch for the Halloween season” there are 10 options as the ones listed in the first paragraph.
Freshman Alyna Gallegos says, “I like how Stranger Things takes place in the 80s. It is super interesting, and when you start watching, you don’t want to stop until it is all done.” Many students chose Stranger Things as their preferred show and recommend that readers watch it as well.
