SAN JOSE, CALIF. — Learn more about Julia Garcia, a Senior here at Creek who shares her favorite memories and what she wants to do in the future!

Garcia is a first gen going to college and is a first gen on her mom’s side to attend college. She doesn’t care about what people think of her and is an enjoyable person to be around. Her friend Brisa Cisneros says, “She is independent and self-sufficient and also does what makes her happy.”

Coming to the end of her four years at Silver Creek, she’s done many eventful things that made her experiences memorable. For instance, her most memorable year is her senior year!

Living her senior year to the fullest, she has made sure to make it the best. By joining the soccer team, she said, “I wanted to play my final year with Creek and have a senior night.” She’s made so many memories with the team and will never forget her senior night due to all the love she received. One of her hobbies is soccer. Not only did she play for the school, she also plays outside of school.

Another best memory of hers is having her cousin by her side, especially during her senior year. She’s looking forward to being able to graduate with her as well. They’ve done countless fun things together and says she would never trade those moments for anything!

Life after high school, she has decided on going to college. She has committed to California State University, East Bay! She will be studying pre med and kinesiology and says, “This is a topic I really enjoy and am interested in working in the sports medical field.” When visiting, she had fallen in love with the campus and felt that’s where she belonged. Not only that, she has a few cousins who are also attending that college. It is also close to home, which makes it work out for her.
