SAN JOSE CALIF.— A senior at Silver Creek High School Jolene Huff walks us through her life and how it’s aligned with her personal style today. Her style has blossomed into a unique alternative fashion that stands out. She will explain to us what goes through her mind and how she came up with her fashion.

Huff’s creativeness in fashion dates back to her early adolescence. Her father had a big impact on her personal style. “My dad because I feel like there’s a huge contrast as I was a kid and now he’s grown into a better person and changed for his mental health,” she said in response to the question of who she looked up to the most. “He experienced a great deal as a child, but he overcame it.” This has inspired her to improve and remain true to who she is. 

Huff is recognized for having an alternative style. She is known for her alternative makeup, hairstyles, and outfits . People admire her confidence because she has worn her hair in a variety of colors and styles during her time in school which is something you don’t see very often. . She gets most of her clothing from thrift stores and her confidence from paying attention to herself.

Huff looks up to Sinéad O’Connor for inspiration. O’Connor, who was raised as a Catholic, has utilized her position to expose the abuse that occurs within the Catholic church. O’Connor gave up her career to make a statement.

When it comes to her music taste, which is something many notice about Huff, she also took a lot of inspiration from her dad. ““Um my dads really into music, playing stuff in the car and taking his music taste and it inspired my own.”

When questioned about her style, Huff said that she gets a lot of her inspiration from her dreamlike states. Her artistic state of mind has produced beautiful work that will only grow stronger as she lives.
