SAN JOSE, CALIF. — On April 8 2024, a full eclipse was witnessed by millions. The last total eclipse occurred back in 2017. Since Total eclipses are rare, some people have concluded that the latest eclipse holds a deeper meaning than just the moon and sun aligning. The eclipse had theorists worldwide coming up with explanations for the total eclipse.

These theories range from religious interpretation to the United States government staging the event.  A theory that seems to be popular among theorists is the idea that the solar eclipse is a signal from god that the world is due to end soon. Each Solar eclipse brings Earth to its inevitable fate. When speaking to Andy Toung a senior at Silver Creek High School he said “It’s a dumb theory but it’s interesting to read about” in response to asking his opinion about the theory. This theory has been deemed a silly crazy theory and is fun for people to think about

A theory that was trending on TikTok questions if the solar eclipse was real. People have claimed that they saw two moons during the eclipse, one blocking the sun and another off in the distance not blocking the sun. Theorists have attributed this theory to government interference. The theory revolves around the idea that the government sanctions the solar eclipse each year and decides when there will be a total eclipse. They believe the government hosts the solar eclipse to draw attention away from it. This theory has been debunked since the editing of the two clips together to create the illusion of two moons.

Theories also include that every solar eclipse aliens invade Earth while the moon casts its shadow, allowing them to come undiscovered. People who believe this theory claim they have seen strange objects floating around the in the sky during the solar eclipse.
