The group released their third mini-album back in February promoting their latest song “EAS ” which received nine wins on Korean music shows. During the encores for the wins, fans and many other KNETZ (Korean network citizens) noticed that most of the members were having a hard time singing due to the intensive choreo. The members being prominently mentioned were Miyawaki Sakura (宮脇 咲良) and Nakamura Kazuha (中村 一葉). Due to these performances many fans were worried about LE SSERAFIM’s upcoming performance at Coachella.
The group arrived at the festival wearing custom “Louis Vuitton” for weekend one. They started the set list with their newest intro “Good Bones” transitioning to their hit “Antifragile”. They were able to keep a stable voice until the end although having some pretty prominent struggle moments within the performance.
Although many online viewers commented on their breathy vocals and the fact that they relied too much on the backtrack sometimes.
Silver Creek freshman Brandon Nguyen says, “LE SSERAFIM could’ve done better, as one of their worst vocalists sang better then their main vocalist. I’m not a singer but it is their job to sing well, although performance wise their stage presence and dancing were amazing.”
Many fans noticed that they did better vocal wise during their second performance during Coachella week two. Fans were thankful that the heavy criticism died down after weekend two although many are still worried about the possibilities next time the group is invited to another live performance.
