Track & Field Senior Night

SAN JOSE, CALIF. — Silver Creek’s track and field senior night was held on March 28. Here’s how it went for those who missed it!

Senior nights at Silver Creek are known to be beautiful and full of proud families. The athletes try their very best to have a good final game. There were various families and friends of the track and field athletes in the bleachers, and seeing everyone with their signs and noisemakers was a sight.

Although the weather was a bit colder, the large attendance showed true dedication and admiration for the athletes.

David Marentes, a student who attended the event says, “This is the first senior night I’ve seen a ceremony be held, it was intriguing to watch the meet as well.”

They were each given a lei as congratulations for their senior night. As each athlete was called by name, their speeches were announced and they ran through a tunnel made by lower classmen in the team. It was beautiful to see every family and friend of the senior track athletes lined up to congratulate them and give gifts along with posters full of photos with their memories.
