SAN JOSE, CALIF. — Silver Creek is getting ready for its school-wide rally, featuring activities, performances, and a special lesson showing the importance of respectful language as part of the celebration of Silver Creek Pride.
There will be a spirit week hosted in the school, to prepare students for the Spring Rally. Silver Creek announced its upcoming Spring Rally Spirit Week, scheduled to take place from April 15th to 19th.
This event will start on Monday with the theme “Flower Power.” Students will wear spring florals and show a vibrant atmosphere throughout the campus.

Tuesday’s theme, “Soundtrack to Spring,” is when students can showcase their musical tastes by wearing their favorite band t-shirts.
Wednesday’s theme shifts to career choices with “Spring into Your Future.” Students dress in college attire or clothing representing their career paths.
Thursday and Friday ends with the school-wide rally, and shows class pride. Each class will wear their colors with freshmen being yellow, sophomores being purple, juniors being pink, seniors being blue.
Silver Creek will also add a modified schedule to accommodate the rally. Wednesday will still be a minimum day, with students getting out earlier like usual. Thursday and Friday will have shorter class periods to accommodate the rallies. For Thursday and Friday, early schedule students will be dismissed at 2:40 p.m, while late schedule students will be dismissed at 3:25 p.m.
The rallies will be divided into two sessions, Rally A and Rally B. Rally A is scheduled for Thursday, while Rally B will take place on Friday. Both rallies will begin during the fourth period.
During each rally session depending on the class, students will remain in class for a school-wide lesson focusing on the importance of respectful language. This promotes a friendly and welcoming atmosphere for everyone in the school.
During the respectful language session at the rally, students will engage in a thoughtful discussion on the importance of respectful communication. “Because those are the words that are gonna form our bonds for the future.” says Silver Creek senior, Aryan Kumar, on the use of respectful language. Through interactive activities and discussions, they will learn how using inclusive and considerate language creates a welcoming and supportive school environment.
