SAN JOSE, CALIF — Po is on a mission for inner peace to defeat a new villain coming to steal his power at The Valley of Peace, where Po becomes the new leader.

Anh Luong a Senior from Silver Creek High School said this after watching the trailer, “Looking at how the villain was able to bring back old villains then consume their power and martial arts skills was kind of crazy. This might be the strongest person Po has to fight yet. I wonder how the movie will go.”                        

The Kung Fu Panda franchise is produced by Dreamworks Animations. In the start Po was just a normal panda working with his goose father, Mr. Ping, at a noodle shop. Then he ends up being selected to become the dragon warrior. 

Then he had to face his first challenge of fighting the villain Tai Lung. Po defeats Tai Lung by sending him to the spirit realm, he then moves on to continue training to defeat the people that slaughtered his village when he was a little cub. 

After coming face to face with the peacock that led the attack. Po suffered from PTSD and couldn’t fight back. He then learned to let go and found his inner peace which led to his second victory against villains. During the third movie Po and his friends are hunted down by a spirit warrior named General Kai. They are all defeated and Kai consumes their power except Po. Po sends them both back into the spirit realm. Po then defeats Kai in the spirit realm.

Kung Fu Panda 4 was released on March 8 of this year. In Kung Fu Panda 4,Po finds himself facing his toughest challenge yet when a new villain threatens the peace of the people’s valley. This villain is able to shapeshift and consume power, talents and skills as well. To protect their home, Po goes on a journey to learn new Kung Fu techniques for the ultimate battle. With the help of his fox friend, Zhen, they defeat the powerful foe. Then sending all the warriors that they consumed back to the spirit realm.

After watching the movie Michael a Senior from Silver Creek High School said, ”The movie was more interesting than I expected. It starts off slow and then the pace dramatically switches and everything happens really fast. Overall the movie was enjoyable.” Overall students should go experience the latest Kung Fu Panda movie to keep up with the franchise.
