Once in your session, the dressers and photographers are super kind. They’ll build you up and tell you how beautiful you are as they have you pose. After your yearbook photo, all the other portrait styles and aesthetics are up to you, down to your choices of backgrounds and poses, so get creative with it! Depending on your session, your selection of additional backgrounds can enrich your photo style and frame it so it radiates your cherished look. You can pose anyway that captures your essence like posing in a dance position, very formally, or super casually as well. You can also come up with an original pose like a shot in the middle of you dancing, reading, or gesturing something to someone. You can also get very inventive with your facial expressions. Don’t be afraid to express yourself and experiment with the presence that suits you for your senior year mementos! “In addition, you and your family selects what senior portrait photo goes into the yearbook in addition to what photos you would like to order for yourselves online,” says senior Kiana Nguyen. “To summarize, it’s a really quick process to go through and it’s better to get yours done sooner rather than later, so you don’t have to worry about it.”

Every year, seniors represent a huge part of Silver Creek’s soul. For example this year, Alyssa Imai’s Art 2 class participated in a unit collab with Gabrielle Koizumi’s tech theater class known as yarn bombing. It’s exactly what it sounds like: Imai’s class—primarily of seniors—created crocheted environments with their tech theater companions! Their work is displayed towards the U-quad where the crocheted artwork beautifully emphasizes Silver Creek spirit. Club presidents leave their legacy of a flawlessly functioning club to rising seniors and juniors for the coming years.

And whether or not the contributions fall under those categories, all seniors still contribute to Silver Creek life in other ways. Whether this be through making new friends and making their lives brighter, or simply being a wild kid to a teacher whose life they genuinely make brighter just by unapologetically being themselves. Seniors simply being students make a positive impact in one way or another, garnering smiles from their friends and peers. Their connection to Silver Creek whether they realize it yet is evident and it’s precious to capture every exceptional senior in their last yearbook! So begin scheduling, and let’s begin the appreciation of Silver Creek’s outstanding class of 2024!
