San Jose, Calif.— The home stretch of the semester is here, with teachers giving more and more assignments to prepare students for the day of Dec 19. As this time of year comes more and more stress for the students, here’s 4 steps to beat stress
1.) Don’t overwork yourself. If you have assignments due on multiple days, scale them out. Before the Final, there might be a lot of work to do and if you procrastinate, you have to do all nighters, which makes you tired and uneasy.
Bad grades like this can cause you to stress out more.

2.) You don’t need to stress out over every grade. If you get one bad grade, just remember that doing well on the final will help out massively to improve your grade, as that is always 15% of your grade.
3) Don’t put things till the last minute, especially when studying. Never study the morning before big exams. You need good rest to do well on the test so wake up as late as you can and just go.
4) If you do wake up early, do something that isn’t related to any subjects. This is especially true for those that don’t have a first period class/test. This could be like reading, or relaxing and chilling out.
All in all, remember that stressing out is okay, because it shows that you care at least a bit with your grades, as you care enough to feel scared about it. Because of stress you study, which makes you do better on the actual tests As Duy “Ives Ryouai” Vu, a senior here at SCHS has said, “just remember that after the Final you can go home and rest”.
