Flea Market Fun: With Crystal Nguyen

By Priya Ramamurthy

SAN JOSE, CALIF—. Meet Crystal Nguyen, an art vendor who sells her art at the extravagant Silver Creek Community Flea Market in the Silver Creek High School parking lot, in order to save up for a gaming computer.

Silver Creek hosts a Community Flea Market for vendors to sell their prized treasures to their cozy community. Nguyen has taken advantage of this golden opportunity to sell her jaw-dropping artwork and save up enough money for a gaming computer soon. She started selling art at the Silver Creek Community Flea Market on Sept. 23rd and found the process super fun, besides the slight fluke of learning she needed to buy a table. She creates and sells manga, requests of favorite characters, anime, genshin impact, video game art, and countless other varieties and requests of art. She has yet to encounter a request she can’t complete.

Nguyen has sold glass art online before and she truly enjoys bringing her art to the flea market, as she can take her time and use testing materials on her acrylic sheet. When asked about a community of art friends, Nguyen says, “Yes I do have art vendor friends that are online and we do collaborations.” As she gets busy she will keep us posted about her schedule with school and commissions. Unsurprisingly, on a scale from 1-10, she ranks selling art at a 10. For extra information and details on her commissions and social media, visit her website and Instagram! You will also find the prices and the different kinds of art Nguyen can create for you. Better yet, you will not be disappointed.
