SAN JOSE, CALIF. — Jonah Price is a great inspiration for incoming Silver Creek students from all schools from being a star secretary, our homecoming’s “Cutest Couple” to participating for the dance at non-fire.

Homecoming just happened last week and for the winners of Cutest Couple the winners were nominees Bella Le and Price. He says that, “Me and my date had a fun time and that we really didn’t expect our win.”

Other than being our homecoming sweetheart Price is also our 2027 secretary, lots of people want advice on how to stay on top of things while being a secretary. Students can become stressed easily when tasked with multitudes of work. High school student Kimberly Camacho says, “ I do have an okay time managing my school life, but sometimes work can get overwhelming.”

We asked Price what he does to help stay organized and his advice was to always have a clean workspace and use a calendar. “Clean work spaces can help you feel less overwhelmed with work and stay on task.”

There’s a lot to do with being a secretary, but Price describes his job as very fun and enjoyable. He says that this position was more suitable than his last position as president. His advice for future and upcoming secretaries was quote, “Please do not try and overwork yourself.”

One of the tasks you do as a secretary is designing the flyers and doing general publicity work. Price says that he thinks that he’ll be doing graphic design in a few years. What got him into the line of work? The designs on the Silver Creek High School Instagram account. 

But being a secretary doesn’t mean that you can’t have fun. He was one of the many participants for the dance during our annual “Silver Creek Non-fire.” Although not ending up in first place, they still held a strong and solid performance for all to enjoy. Price is an amazing role model even for a freshmen his one goal is, “I don’t know… to make the school a better place.”
