Those who come from an immigrant background all experience the struggle of not feeling seen. Many have a hard time expressing these feelings and getting the representation  everyone deserves.

Munoz has felt as being the oldest daughter in a Mexican family she’s been pressured by her family to be above and beyond just like other members of her family. She expresses her own experiences by saying “ Since I’m 2nd generation my family have always set high expectations for what I need to do. I’m always compared to what they’ve done.”

With trials and tribulations, she has learnt to grow from her indifferences between her and her family. Munoz still continues to push through them and not let them get in the way of becoming the person she strives to be. She aims to make herself proud by making her loved ones proud. “By making my family proud and I know that they support me. And doing what I’ve always wanted to do and seeing that makes me proud,’’ said by Munoz.

Growing up as the eldest daughter in a Mexican-immigrant family, she strives to learn and develop from these experiences she’s been through. Munoz, desiring to become independent and responsible for herself, decided to buy her first car after only six months of working. She made herself extremely proud.

Advice Munoz has given to those who have experienced self doubt and fear of others judgment is “No one is over analyzing you but you. Everyone is just paying attention to themselves.”  She goes on to explain that everyone is always so worried about what others perceive of them, but realistically we are all focused on our lives. You should be proud of the person you’re growing into each day.

Munoz has an eye-catching music and fashion style that represents the unique person that she’s becoming more and more each day. Her fashion inspiration has come from fashion influencers such as Kali uchis, Nailea Devora, Charlotte Chiasson. In her most recent outfits she explained her ideas by saying “ I started trying new things and especially with my mom encouraging me to buy new things.” She’s open to changing up her style to find more of what she likes.

“Like a lot of my music taste comes from my dad like lauren hill, amy wine house, rap songs. In middle school I started to explore more genres because of friends and social media.” Munoz says. She’s gained a lot of friends and connections because of her uniqueness in her personal style, proving her personal style as magnetic.

Even with her own personal struggles she will not let them get in the way of her success.
