Can the spidermen take down the villains in New York?

SAN JOSE, CALIF — Spider-Man 2 is a game that came out last Friday Oct 13, 2023.

The game was in the works for five years and is the sequel to Spider Man 1, which released in 2018 and Miles Morales, which released in 2020. Peter Parker and Miles Morales struggle to navigate the next steps in their personal lives while combating several new threats. These threats include a private army led by Kraven the Hunter, who transforms New York City into a hunting ground for super-powered villains, as well as Venom, who is a symbiote alien which crash landed on Earth and can choose which host he wants. Some other villains that the duo encounter along their journey include Sandman, also known as Flint Marko, who got his powers through a nuclear testing site on a beach. Mr. Negative, also known as Martin Li, got his powers as a result of being exposed to a drug called Devil’s Breath as a child. Kraven the Hunters’ superhuman abilities, including strength, speed, and predator-like senses, come from an array of herbal potions, which he first acquired after meeting a witch doctor named Calypso. Venom The Lizard got his powers after an experiment in which he tried to regrow his arm using lizard blood.

Reviews of the game have been great so far with the lowest rating being an 8/10. Fellow classmate Gurshaan Pannu said “This game better win game of the year because where else will you see spiderman riding a bike”. In my opinion, the game’s storyline was a bit too brief for my liking, but nevertheless, it was still enjoyable. At the end of the game, there is an end credit scene where they tease a third game.
