By Dylan Amaro
SAN JOSE CALIF.—-Timothy Nguyen joined the Boxing and Lion Dance club due to his friends peer pressuring him. At first Nguyen didn’t want to join but he eventually gave in. Nguyen ended up really enjoying both clubs because he was able to be active and have things to do, and was also able to make a lot of friends. Another hobby that Nguyen enjoys is biking. He started biking this past summer. And now almost everyday, whether it’s biking to school or biking with his friends. He always tries to find a way to ride his bike. Nguyen’s experience at Silver Creek so far has been good. “Sophmore year was hard because of the transition from zoom classes to actually being in a classroom”, said Nguyen.
“Junior year was fun because I was making new friends and joining clubs”. Nguyen also enjoys going to southern california to visit his cousin with his family, he likes to hang out with his cousin and visit places there. Nguyen also likes to go to the gym, he started going to the gym Sophomore year and has not stopped since. Nguyen also used to play basketball as well because in middle school, the basketball team needed one more player and he decided to give it a try. But he doesn’t play as much anymore. Nguyen’s preferred college destinations are here in California, “I want to attend a college in California, whether it be a college here in San Jose or in Los Angeles”, said Nguyen. “I want to study to be a nurse and there are schools here that are good for that”.
