Spreading Smiles with Mr. Smith

SAN JOSE, CALIF. — Ronald Smith, a teacher’s assistant at Silver Creek High School for multiple classes, is a joy for students to talk with and always spreads smiles to them as they go through their school day.

Smith is a veteran of the United States, as he served for 11 years, and is now at SCHS working in multiple classes throughout the school day. He goes to six classes a day and is an amazing companion for students to bond with.

In his last class, biology, he laughs and jokes around with students as they finish their day, leaving them with a smile on their face. Always lighting up the room with exciting energy as he walks in class when he greets everyone. When students come to stamp their assignments, he always brings positivity to the conversations he makes and is always friendly with everyone.

When asked why he still works here at SCHS, he responds with, “Because of teens like you. I like to work with students.” Working with students and spreading joy amongst their faces as they go through school is a great act.

Smith is an amiable person who brings delight to everyone who may be going through struggles, lighting up their mood and enjoys being around students. Being here at SCHS for 20 years is incredible as well as all the kind things he does for the people around him at this school. People who spread positivity, everywhere are what brings people up. As a veteran of the United States, providing people with even a smile can go a long way in spreading more kindness in this world.
