Remember playing “FNAF” as a kid at night and switching through security cameras to close the door right on time? The video game “Five Nights at Freddy’s” gave the best jump scares and is now an upcoming live action. Highly anticipated and nostalgic movies this year features “Five Nights at Freddy’s” essentially about a new security guard working his night shift who must desperately battle haunted animatronics. The movie is set to release on Oct 27, 2023 – just in time for Halloween.

Movie sequels like “Feat Street” showcase a trilogy that takes place from the 60’s to the 90’s that tell us compelling stories of surviving the killers of Shadyside. Silver Creek student Jessica Martinez said, “The trilogy was so interesting to see a lot of the stories connect together and just pretty interesting and scary.”

Family friendly scary movies like “Coraline,” Hocus Pocus”, and “Monster House,” teach your kids valuable lessons about their fears. Not too scary but will also give your little ones a few jumps. These movies are also animated which can give a more imaginative vision and not just always a live action that can’t always capture certain ominous scenes.
