Graduating Senior: Aley Do

SAN JOSE, CALIF. – Graduating this year in the class of 2023, among the hundreds of seniors graduating this year, is Aley Do, a member of the K-pop club and VSA here at Silver Creek High School.

After graduation, Do plans on going to De Anza college in Cupertino and taking a Digital Marketing course. This year she enjoyed her time with her friends and going out for dinner. The most challenging thing this senior year was passing classes and going to school.

A piece of advice she would give to underclassmen is, “Your attendance is important, choose your college early, don’t be like me.” Do advises underclassmen to go to school activities like Nonfire so they can enjoy their highschool experience as much as they can.

In ten years, Do imagines herself graduating from college and getting a job. She’ll be 29 years of age in ten years so she also imagines herself starting her own family. The teacher that had the most impact on her life was her art teacher, Ms. Imai. Imai has really great art technique, amazing at arts & crafts and has taught her how to improve her art style.

Her favorite subject in school is art. She doesn’t know what she’s going to be for the future but she knows it’s going to be in either Digital Marketing or Business Management. She went to Renaissance Academy for middle school and her birthday is on Oct. 16.

She joined the K-pop club to encourage her friends who are officers and was there for freshman orientation. Her friends are the thing she enjoys most from school. She’ll miss her friends most when she leaves school.

When she leaves school, she’ll hopefully be able to see her friends even if they’re going to different places in the future. In K-pop club, she and her friends help to choreograph dances for school events.

When you first arrive for orientation, the different school clubs perform dances and fun games for the underclassmen to enjoy. Among the amazing dancers in K-pop club, she supports the team with her awesome cheering.

She’s also a part of VSA (Vietnamese Student Association) club, where they work on each year’s cultural show. The cultural show is full of skits and dances from different cultural backgrounds. If you want to go to one of the shows, you have to buy tickets from VSA or LOC officers. Some of the shows include: Creekchella, Blossoming Through Time, Lunar New Year Rally. The shows happen in the X-Quad just outside the gym and Raider Hall.
