SAN JOSE, CALIF. –  Miss Americana herself, Taylor Swift, started her Eras Tour on March 17 in Arizona. Her opening acts that night were Paramore and GAYLE. 

Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour was first announced in November being a tour of its kind where Swift herself is taking a journey through her musical career. One of her stops includes the Bay Area in July. Swift will be supported by Paramore, Beabadoobee, Phoebe Bridgers, Girl in Red, MUNA, HAIM, GAYLE, Gracie Abrams, and OWEN. 

Eras Tour night one introduced a career-spinning, whopping 44-song setlist with a runtime of more than three hours, with Swift playing anywhere from one to eight tracks from all 10 of her full-length studio albums.

Miss Swift herself has made sure that she will not perform certain songs during her other concerts. She even has changed the surprise songs for every state concert like how one night she sang “Mirrorball” with “Tim McGraw” and then it changed to “Sad Beautiful Tragic” with “Ours” when at a different venue. 

 Another surprise Swift did was having costume changes each night. There are some similar outfits but all different colors and designs. Each costume is unique for a certain concert and represents the album she is on when performing.    

Entering Swift City, the Lover House has been one of the main set designs of the Eras Tour that fans can not stop raving about.  The Lover House spans nine rooms with each one representing one of her albums. The cool special effects Swift took everything to the next level with effects like her jumping and swimming in a pool on stage. 

Swifties, the name for Swift’s fans, has made experiencing a concert the best experience yet. They all have collectibles agreed on trading friendship bracelets where they trade fun-themed Swift bracelets. As well as we have seen Swifties supporting each other with their Era Tour outfits that are related to Swift’s career.  

“ The Eras Tour has been enchanted so far with so much to take in. Taylor makes a point to include all her fans from floor to nosebleeds and tries her best to perform full out for three hours straight which is memorable. The originality of her concert is also one I haven’t seen before.” Summer Jaquez, a Sophomore at Silver Creek explained, ” Many of those attending the Eras Tour are also making and trading friendship bracelets with song lyrics and inside jokes which brings such a comfortable and friendly vibe to the concert making everyone’s night more memorable.”
