In late 2022, Del Rey announced the release of her new album “Did You Know Theres a Tunner Under Ocean Blvd.” on her private Instagram. And loyal and longtime fans of the singer went crazy over the news. Initially, the album was set to be released on March 10, but it was postponed until the 24 for unknown reasons.

It was also reported that in October of 2022, the singer had gotten a laptop stolen from her, losing song demos and a manuscript of an unpublished book.

Still, the music artist captured the attention of all her fans with the 16 tracks like Paris, Texas, Fishtail, Peppers and A&W which she released on February 14 before the album’s initial release. The album also included features from Jon Batiste, SYML, Father John Misty, Bleachers and Tommy Genesis.

After a few hours of the album’s release, Del Rey made a post with one of the featured artists of her album, Tommy Genesis. The artist says, “hey, this is my favorite person. Favorite rapper, favorite thinker. I’m so lucky that she let me have her on this record. Constant wake up/ go to sleep inspiration. And super real life angel. I love you. Like I love you.”

Soon after the release date, Del Rey held a pop-up shop with new merchandise to celebrate the album’s success at Shoreline Aquatic Park in Long Beach, California. Fans also have begun to speculate the artist is going to go on tour as she is also attending many music festivals such as the close by Outside Lands at Golden Gate Park in San Francisco, California during the weekend of August 11th-13th.

Students at Silver Creek also have a lot to say about the singer’s new album. Yvette Rodriguez, a Silver Creek senior, says, “I love her new album and I really hope she does go on tour, but I am not sure if she will.”
