SAN JOSE, CALIF. – Marvel Phase 4 started on January 15 2021 and has since ended on November 25, 2022, with the release of The Guardians Of The Galaxy holiday special.

On January 15, Marvel Phase 4 began with the show Wandavision. This surprised many Marvel fans because it was the first Marvel Disney show. Wandavision had 9 episodes with a new episode released every Friday. Though the first 6 episodes were considered nothing special, the last 3 episodes contained post-credit scenes.

The success of WandaVision brought forth many more Disney+ shows including Loki, Hawkeye, and Moon Knight. People found these shows to be entertaining, but others not so much. Silver Creek student Brian Hoang stated that “I felt like these shows were rushed, yeah some were good but others felt off.”

Phase 4 Also introduced many interesting new characters. Some popular like Namor from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Ms. Marvel, and Kang the conqueror in Loki. Phase 4 also introduced us to many unpopular characters from the comics, characters as Shang Chi, Moon Knight, and America Chavez. Characters like these were not as known and popular before, but as soon as they were introduced in the MCU they quickly became fan favorites.

Phase 4 has its ups and downs; people considered some movies a flop because they didn’t make as much money, but Phase 4 was not all bad. They had movies that people considered the best in the MCU. Spider-Man: No Way Home was considered one of the top 3 of Phase 4. 

This phase of Marvel was a little experimental. They made new shows, short films, and a series with just funny shorts. When Marvel released Werewolf By Night, it was considered to be a part of some of the best Marvel projects because of the unique style it had. 

Ending Phase 4 was The Guardians Of The Galaxy Holiday Special, this was the first-holiday special project they have done and fans loved it. The plot is mainly following the team as they celebrate the holiday and find a present for Peter Quill. The reason people loved it so much was because it was revealed that Mantis and Peter are related.

Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe had its ups and downs. This Phase of the MCU was more exploratory than other phases but it set up so much. For this reason, Marvel fans cannot wait for the next Marvel Project that comes out.
