SAN JOSE CALIF. — When you’re a kid, you’re unaware of what goes on around the world, but as you grow up you start to realize how valuable it is to pay attention to the news.

When I was younger, I didn’t understand the importance of news, but as I matured I started to wonder about the world that I’m so oblivious of. When you browse the news, you recognize the significance of it and realize how it can change everything. When I was analyzing why gas prices are going up, I learned of the lives that were impacted, like the people in Ukraine who are struggling to find where to find protection or how people are selling their cars because they don’t make enough money to pay for gas.

The news allows you to educate yourself on a topic that could shift your view on the world and every individual around you. Even if you don’t think you’re interested, there’s news about everything. You can learn about politics, school, gaming, stocks, and more. However, what’s vital is you’re aware of your surroundings and know what to be mindful of.  News is adaptive as it’s also modernized, being created on TV for visual learners and for reports to be spread efficiently.

Scanning the news can help you decipher other people’s standpoints on serious topics like the presidential election. If you’ve been wondering why prices on houses have been going up, you can visit the New York Times or other reliable news sources to understand why. It’s crucial to note that you must get your news from credible news sources For example, as I previously spoke of the presidential election. Oftentimes people will try to formulate fake news like during the Trump and Biden election in 2021 to convince readers to vote for the opposing candidate. You can learn about what people are doing to encourage people to vote or why people aren’t voting at all.

News is exceptionally fundamental to teens, the reason being that as we grow up we must pay attention to the aspects that make the world spin. News doesn’t have to always be boring, it can advise you so you know what to expect. If you work you might want to grasp what jobs pay more or what programs you can join to build your resume. At times when I pay attention to news that interests me, it has benefited me because not only do I understand it, but I can inform others who are also intrigued by it.
