SAN JOSE, CALIF. – On April 3, 2022, the Grammys took place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas where songwriters, singers and rappers showed up in their best designer outfits.

Broadcasters reported impeccable outfits that made social media go off the walls. After watching celebrities walk the red carpet promoting fashion designer companies, I created a list of my favorite looks of the evening. Let’s take a look!

1.) Doja Cat

Nominee, Doja Cat, is not only known for her trendy music, but also her insane outfits when she attends and performs at events. This year, she attended the Grammys wearing a mint green jeweled sheer dress with matching mint green platforms and crystal jewelry. I love the elegant dress paired with a “rock star” hairstyle. This definitely represents her brand considering she’s all about fun and elegance. 

2.) Olivia Rodrigo

Pop-star princess and nominee, Olivia Rodrigo, came to the Grammys wearing a black off-the-shoulder dress with pink glitter outlining her body, gloves, black choker and a pink crystal necklace. Just like how I commented about Cat’s choice of clothing representing her brand, Rodrigo’s outfit does the same. Her dress reminds me of the 2000’s just like her music and everyday outfits. 

3.) Lil Nas X

Instead of wearing a classic tuxedo, Lil Nas X went all out, as usual, wearing armor like clothing. The pattern and pearls on the pants and top made the outfit look more elegant and royal.

4.) Giveon

Giveon went casual wearing a sparkly jacket and pants paired with jewelry. Although the Grammys is a formal attire event, I think the sparkly jacket, pants and eye-catching jewelry made the whole outfit look sophisticated so that it didn’t look casual at all.

After reviewing my favorite Grammy outfits of the evening, I’ve asked Ava Veloria about what her favorite Grammy look was. Veloria shared, “I also agree with you. I loved the design on Olivia Rodrigo’s dress. It’s something I’ve never seen before and it looks amazing on her.”
