At the time of death, Saget was in the middle of his stand-up comedy tour, which was set to run from September through June. He last performed on Saturday, Jan. 8, at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall in Jacksonville, Fla., and he last posted on Instagram just 17 hours earlier.

An anonymous student from Silver Creek high school mentions, “I was so sad. I watched him play Danny Tanner on “Full House” everyday growing up.”

Best known for his patriarchal role in the 90’s sitcom, Saget played the widowed father of three kids, DJ Tanner (Candace Cameron), Stephanie Tanner (Jodie Sweetin) and Michelle Tanner (Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen). Running for 8 seasons and 192 episodes, it reached over 17 million viewers worldwide at its peak. Later a sequel series called “Fuller House ” was launched in 2016, a follow up to the original series where DJ raises her own children. Saget made a couple appearances in the sequel, giving advice to his grandkids and helping his daughter out.

Also a comedian, Saget hosted “America’s Funniest Home Videos” from 1989 to 1997. The TV show featured hilarious videos of children, pranks, pets and fails. He was host of the series for 8 seasons, when it was eventually taken over by co-hosts John Fugelsland and Daisy Fuentes.

Additionally, he was part of the making of several iconic films, including “How I Met Your Mother”, “Dirty Work”, “The Aristocrats”, “Farce of the Penguins” and “Entourage”.

Bob Saget’s death is one that is felt throughout the country, but he lives on through his wife, Kelly Rizzo, and children, Aubrey, Jennifer Belle and Lara Melanie Saget.
