The American model and cookbook author Chrissy Teigen said on October 1st,2020 that she and her husband, the singer John Legend, had lost their third child.
Chrissy Teigen and John Legend have received an outpouring of support on social media after revealing that they lost their third child following pregnancy complications. And no, it’s not simply because they’re famous. Sadly, it’s because 10% to 20% of known pregnancies end in miscarriage, and so many people have shared the celebrity couple’s pain.
After many comments about asking what the baby boy’s name was, with the first two pregnancies, the statements said the couple waited to name the baby until after delivering, but this time they had already begun calling “the little guy in my belly” Jack.
“He will always be Jack to us,” the statement said. “Jack worked so hard to be a part of our little family, and he will be, forever.”
Teigen was about halfway through her pregnancy and bleeding significantly, she said earlier this week. She asked fans not to diagnose her, and revealed that her placenta was “really, really weak.” The couple expressed their gratitude for their children and the experiences they have had.
Celebrities such as Kim Kardashian West, Gabriella Union who wrote on behalf of herself and husband Dwyane Wade, Hailey Bieber, Modern Family star Jesse Tyler Ferguson, actress La La Anthony, Channing Tatum, Paris Hilton, Selna Blair, Zelda Williams, who lost her father, Robin Wiliams, very publicly just over six years ago, gathered on social media to express their love support for the couple, flooding the cookbook author and the EGOT winner’s accounts with heartfelt condolences.
Chrissy Teigen Tweeted “ Driving home from the hospital with no baby. How can this be real.” This tweet left thousands of people heartbroken, with women who have experience with what had happened with Chrissy Teigen and her baby boy, Jack.
Teigen concluded her post Wednesday with a similar message: “On this darkest of days, we will grieve, we will cry our eyes out. But we will hug and love each other harder and get through it.”
